What is Procoat 100®?

Procoat 100® is an extremely stable, water based and air cured coating which is easy to apply either as a spray or by dipping and can be top coated within minutes. It can be applied as a primer or one coat system, that results in a tough, chemically bonded surface guard which is resistant to corrosion creep, chipping and water penetration.

Procoat 100® is compatible with nearly all OEM topcoats and finishes and meets or exceeds current and proposed OEM and fleet performance requirements.

The process offers proven superior performance which is both cost effective and environmentally friendly.

Unlike most paints and coatings Procoat 100® is impermeable to moisture. This prevents salt and chemical laden moisture from penetrating to the metal underneath and corroding from the inside out.
Procoat 100® not only exceeds the performance of current state-of-art processes such as E-Coat and powder coat, but most current facilities can be modified/enhanced to apply this coating at a fraction of the cost that would be required to convert to E-Coat or powder coat.

Corrosion graph showing Procoat 100 benefits

Procoat 100® is very environmentally friendly. Not only does it have low VOCs but it can easily be disposed of when dry and is not a wastewater contaminant.

It has been successfully used on a wide variety of components in the automotive and HGV industry for over 15 years having been evaluated in the harshest conditions by a range of industry leading OEMs. Its unique anti-chip and anti-corrosive characteristics have made it a proven solution for a wide range of applications.

Procoat 100 applications

Procoat 100 in HGV vehicles

The Procoat 100® process

Procoat 100® chemically bonds to the surface of the metal, providing greater resilience than traditional coating technologies. Because of the unique nature of its bond with the metal surface, Procoat 100® prevents any corrosion creep, stopping the corrosion at the initial damage site.

The coating can be applied by spraying, dipping or brushing and can be used as a primer or finish coat, available in a variety of colours. Typical applications are 60 μm thick over the profile of the substrate and it is compatible with nearly all OEM topcoats and finishes.

Uses

The Metal Treatment has outperformed conventional coatings and set new standards of expectation. The technology can be used in areas where corrosion, sunlight, pollution, and impact are of concern.

Ocean going vessels, or assets in the ocean, are ideal applications. Heavy equipment, heavy truck, automobile chassis, trailer and street furniture are just some of the other applications in which
Procoat 100® should be used.
