New ISO Approval

Metal Improvement Company is delighted to announce that another MIC Division, this time Litchurch in Derby has achieved the ISO 2001:2008 Quality Management System approval as granted by CEN the European Committee for Standardization.

ISO 9001 is the standard recognised by industry which was introduced to help companies achieve high quality and to give customers assurance that a high quality service will be provided by the companies who have achieved this award.

Peter Poterajko, Works Manager of the Litchurch Lane Division in Derby, which specialises in processing components for the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industry adds, “The award of this new upgraded ISO approval, confirms that our focus remains clearly on providing the very best quality and service to all our clients. Maintaining these high standards is not easy and takes much work and cooperation at all levels and all within the Division should feel very proud that we have recently maintained standards yet again.”

NADCAP Approval

I am pleased to announce that MIC Suzhou has successfully completed their Nadcap Surface Enhancement audit. This accomplishment positions our Suzhou Division to be Metal Improvement Company’s 37th Nadcap accredited facility and our first to gain accreditation in Asia.

Special thanks to all our Suzhou staff for making this audit a success.

Congratulations Earby Division

Wow, what a night! - Congratulations to Ian McGeachie, Division Manager and staff at our Laser Peening Division, Earby who won the Most Outstanding Small Business of the Year Award at the recent Pendle Business Awards Ceremony. Ian said that he was delighted to receive this award on behalf of the Division as it was recognition of MIC’s commitment to its employees. Even though we are part of a large multi-national company we realise the value and contribution of each and every employee to ensure the success of our business. Ian added that he was delighted that 90% of our current workforce at Earby who started with us nearly 7 years ago are still with us today and consider MIC a good place to work.

Metal Improvement Company is delighted to announce that their MIC Newbury Division has upgraded its ISO accreditation status to the new international BS EN ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System approval as granted by CEN the European Committee for Standardization.

ISO 9001 is the standard recognised by industry which was introduced to help companies achieve high quality and to give customers assurance that a high quality service will be provided by the companies who have achieved this award.

Mike Blackgrove, Quality Manager of MIC Newbury Division, says that “We are constantly striving to improve our ability to provide services that meet our customer’s needs and in gaining this upgraded approval they can continue to be assured of a cost effective and high quality service. The standard considers factors such as customer focus, leadership and management, process systems and self-assessment in order to achieve continual improvement. We are very pleased that our aims and values have been recognised in receiving this prestigious award.
